Wear solid, neutral colors like, gray, or navy, black — they photograph best. Avoid bright patterns, whites, camouflage, or anything resembling a uniform. At Ob Cruz Photography here in Prosser, I’ll help you choose what looks clean and natural under professional lighting so your photo meets all U.S. Department of State requirements.

A little smile is fine but for U.S. passports and visas it’s recommended a neutral expression — eyes open, mouth relaxed and facing forward. A calm, relaxed look works best and little smile. This helps your photo get approved the first time, whether you’re applying at the Prosser Courthouse or mailing your documents through Yakima County.

Small jewelry is fine as long as it doesn’t cover your face or create glare. Glasses aren’t allowed in passport photos unless you have a signed medical note. Hats or caps aren’t permitted unless they’re worn daily for religious reasons, and even then, your full face must be visible. I’ll guide you through all of this during your session to make sure everything’s compliant.

Yes — religious head coverings are allowed as long as they’re part of your daily wear and don’t hide your facial features. I’ll make sure your portrait meets all official standards while respecting your attire.

Yes! I photograph for U.S. passports, visas, immigration documents, work permits, and other government IDs. Each image is sized and printed to match the specific requirements for your application, so you’ll leave knowing it’s approved for submission.

Yes — I photograph babies, toddlers, and kids for passports and visas. Infant photo rules are a little more flexible (for example, it’s okay if their eyes aren’t fully open). I use a calm setup with a plain white background that’s safe and comfortable for your little one.

All sessions are by appointment only, and photos are usually ready in about 5 minutes. It’s a quick, simple process from start to finish.

Yes — every session includes two printed photos, and for an additional cost you can request a digital version if you need to submit your photo online or through an immigration portal. Or if you need a digital photo only the cost is ($25)

I accept cash, debit and credit cards, and digital payments like Venmo or Apple Pay. Payment is due at the time of your appointment, and you’ll receive your printed photos right away.
